2. log in to your Amazon account. After installing the app, a log-in window appears. Enter your email address or phone number, and password for your Amazon account, then click the Sign In button.

3. Select folders to upload. By default, Cloud Drive will recommend your common storage folders for upload and backup. Tick or un-tick them to include them in your initial upload, then click the Start backup button. The selected folders will be uploaded to your Amazon Cloud Drive.

Note: Keep your storage limits in mind when selecting folders. Amazon Prime members get 5GB of file storage and unlimited picture storage. This option costs $11.99 USD per year for non-Prime members and has a three-month free trial.

4. Manage your files and your cloud. You are now ready to use Cloud Drive on your desktop. You can simply drag a file, a folder, or multiple files or folders into the window and they will immediately get uploaded. Or, you can also right-click on a file or folder to upload it.

  • On Macs, choose the Upload to Cloud Drive menu option.

  • On PCs, choose Send to > Amazon Cloud Drive.

Note: With both of the above methods, you can pause or cancel an upload; both actions are accessible via the cloud icon in your system tray or menu bar.
